Elijah the Elephant

Shortly after I found out that we were expecting, I knew I wanted to knit a stuffed toy for our little one. I found a pattern I loved and cast on. The head, body, arms, legs all came together relatively quickly and I really enjoyed making it. All up until the ears. Elephant ears are very tasty, they were a pain in the butt to knit. I ended up breaking the pattern and knitting them both separately and then sewing them both on. One of the reasons I liked this pattern was there was no sewing involved. Oh well. He is done now, and I’m pleased to present:

The socks that I’m working on are the most complicated pattern I have attempted. The designer is named Cookie A and she is famous for coming up with some very intricate and difficult sock patterns. I finished turning the heel this morning and am really enjoying how these socks are turning out! The colors are pretty neat too!

Socks for hire

Been doing a little knitting for others lately. My co-worker hired me to make her a pair of socks. I wasn’t sure about the colors when I looked at the ball, but sure like how they are coming together. I’ve done this pattern before, and really like the easy memorization of the rounds. Hoping to finish this and it’s mate before Christmas!
